Counting the Omer Day 33
Day Thirty-Three – הַיּוֹם שְׁלֹשָה וּשְלֹשִׁים לָעֹמֵר
As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!’ Haggai 2:5

“Promise made and promise kept”
We are not always able to keep the promises we make. Events out of our control can delay or even block our progress. We find reconciliation by saying we are sorry. Sometimes our friends and family say, “Don’t worry – it’s ok.” Other times they find it hard to forgive us for breaking our word. God never has to say He is sorry for not fulfilling His promises. Yeshua told His disciples that He would be with them even to the ends of the age. Do you believe Him? When Yeshua taught about sending the Spirit He told His disciples He would not leave them as orphans.
• How do we experience His parental care in our lives?
• Many are affected by divorce in our nation. Sometimes this may leave children (even adult children) feeling like orphans. How can you encourage someone today that they belong and are a real part of God’s family?
• Consider how Yeshua taught His disciples and the expectations He expressed about the Spirit in John 15:26-16:16.
