What Verse Are We On?
Some have asked for clarification on where we are at in the memory verse project. We started the study together on April 8th – so yesterday (May 27th) was the beginning of week 8. If you and/or your family have been doing one verse a week that would put you in the “Prayer” part of the wheel and week 7 (last week) would have been John 15:7 and this week would be Philippians 4:6-7.
I want to ask everyone to take this week and next week primarily as review, discussion, and application weeks(catch up weeks also if you have not done 1 a week up to this point). At the end of these two weeks seek to have the first 8 verses memorized but also consider how these verses apply, not only to your own life, but also to the lives of your families and our community. How are these biblical truths applied? How do we “do and teach” them (Matt 5:19)? How do we see these as commands (instructions) to do and teach others (Matt 28:18-19)?
Looking ahead/Schedule:
May 27th – Jun 9th – Review and Application of first 8 verses
Jun 10th-16th – 9th Verse – Fellowship Matthew 18:20
Jun 17th-23rd – 10th Verse – Fellowship Hebrew 10:24-25
Jun 24th-30th – 11th Verse – Witnessing Matthew 4:19
For those planning crafts – I apologize if this interferes with your plans. Please give me a call or talk with me about this and we can modify this if needed.
May God grant us good success as we continue to plant these seeds in our lives and in the relationships God has given us!
Shalom,
Gary
